Shynggys recently graduated with a Master’s degree in materials science from the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology. His thesis work was based on the solid-state synthesis of organic-inorganic photoluminescent hybrid compounds. He joined KPV-LAB as a visiting student, to develop passivation schemes for single-junction perovskite solar cell for silicon/perovskite tandem solar cell applications. After his successful internship, Shynggys joined KPV-LAB as a PhD student in March 2020.
