Luis Victor studied a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In the last semesters of his bachelor’s joined the undergraduate degree in Nanotechnology where he finished his elective courses and thesis project on the development of carbon nanotube based electric inks. Later on, in 2017, Luis Victor moved to Germany where he had the opportunity to work as a research assistant within Cristoph Brabec’s group (I-MEET) where his focus was on transparent silver nanowire based electrodes for solar cells. In parallel, he took an internship at the Solar Factory of the Future (ENCN) supervised by Hans-Joachim Egelhaaf where he studied the development of carbon electrodes for slot-die based perovskite solar cells. In 2019 Luis Victor moved to KAUST where he joined the OMEGALAB group supervised by Prof. Derya Baran. During his master project, Luis developed monolithic perovskite/organic tandem solar cells focusing on the interface engineering of interconnecting layers. Currently, he joins the KPV-LAB group at KAUST supervised by Prof. Stefaan de Wolf for his PhD project based on interface engineering of monolithic all-perovskite tandem solar cells and development of slot-die perovskite solar cells for 4T perovskite-silicon tandem photovoltaics.
