Waseem Raja is currently a postdoctoral fellow at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, where he is involved in light-induced charge transport in modern technological applications, such as solar cells, artificial photosynthesis, and optical detectors. He has a strong background in numerical analysis and computational modeling based on the finite element method, density functional theory, finite difference time domain method and finite difference the method used for estimating the performance next-generation solar cell, plasmonic nanostructure-based photocatalysis devices, and LEDs. In addition, he was also a principal investigator for a project named “Photon Enhanced Thermionic Solar Cell” funded by European Space Agency (www.esa.int/gsp/ACT/nrg/projects/pete.html).
