Job Description

Recent progress in perovskite photovoltaic technology has given rise to highly efficient perovskite-silicon tandem devices, a promising candidate from a commercial perspective. Applying a large area compatible technique to fabricate perovskite solar cells on silicon substrates is of great value to industrial applications.

The project aims to develop technological advancements towards the fabrication of highly-efficient perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells using high-throughput fabrication techniques such as slot-die coating/blade-coating. As a part of this challenging project, the candidate will directly work on an industry-relevant problem with state-of-the-art research facilities to fabricate monolithic tandem devices.

 

Responsibilities

The candidate, with the aid of our groups' experience, will explore numerous fabrication and characterization techniques to achieve a stack of various materials and thin films, resulting in highly efficient tandem devices. The project requires highly-committed and motivated candidates looking to further their carrier in an academic and industrial front. Candidates looking to pursue a Ph.D. fellowship after the course of their internship are highly encouraged.
