Biography

Dr. Zhumagali earned his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2025 from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, working in the group of Prof. Stefaan De Wolf on the topic of “Interfacial Engineering for Efficient Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells”.

Before joining KAUST for his doctoral studies, he obtained a M.Sc. degree form Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology and his B.Sc. degree from Nazarbayev University.

His current focus is on scalable perovskite tandem solar cell fabrication methods

Research Interests

Dr. Zhumagali is currently focusing on scalable perovskite solar cells fabrication techniques, such as blade coating and slot-die coating, for efficient large area perovskite single-junction and tandem solar cell applications.
