Biography

Dr. Badri Vishal received his Ph.D. from JNCASR, Banglore India in 2020 in materials science after finishing his M.Sc in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi, India (IIT-Delhi). His research focused on advanced high-end Transmission Electron Microscopy (low-dose TEM, EELS, iDPC, HR-S/TEM) of ultra-electron-beam-irradiation-sensitive soft energy materials, including applications in photovoltaics, perovskite SC, Graphene, 2D vdW materials & heterostructures, metastable wurtzite-BN, Thermoelectrics, magnetic shape-memory Heusler alloys for RT refrigeration, quantum materials, and sustainable energy technologies. His work also integrates Density Functional Theory (DFT) with TEM imaging and EELS spectroscopy.

Research Interests

  • Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)
  • Density Functional Theory (DFT)
